My journey

Joining the Air Force in 2006 marked the beginning of a transformative journey in my life. After completing basic training, I was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida from 2006 to 2011. During that time, I had the opportunity to deploy to Camp Bucca, Iraq, in 2007, followed by Joint Base Balad, Iraq, in 2008, and later Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan in 2010. My military service continued as I transitioned to Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea from 2011 to 2012, and ultimately to Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2012 to 2014. As an honorably discharged disabled veteran, I sought to channel my experiences into a meaningful career, which led me to graduate from the University of Southern California in 2021 with a master’s in social work. It was during my internship at USC that I met my wife, a partnership that has blossomed alongside the joys of parenthood with our daughter and son.
